Q&A: Visitor Questions Answered

Q: What should I book in advance?
A: The more unique or limited‑capacity experiences sell out first. Things like Deep Listening at Dusk, the Whale Watching / Swim with Whales tours, and signature events like Rhythms by the River are safer if booked ahead. Use the official links above.

Q: Is whale season still active?
A: Yes. Whale migration happens along the Sunshine Coast from around June through October. The tours on Whale One and Sunreef are ongoing while conditions allow.

Q: Are these Mooloolaba events family‑friendly?
A: Definitely. Markets, musical afternoons like Rhythms by the River, and whale watching are excellent for families. Deep Listening at Dusk may be more atmospheric and serene (so best for older kids who can sit quietly). Always check specific event accessibility or age constraints.

Q: What if I’m staying just a few days—what’s the best way to sample local culture and nature?
A: Try this: one day relax on Mooloolaba Beach, enjoy simple local eats and walks; another day take a whale watching tour or swim with whales; another evening enjoy a market or riverside music event. That gives a taste of sunshine, culture, and community.
