Explore Sunshine Coast Adventure Race

On Saturday 9 May 2026, teams of two will tackle the Sunshine Coast’s unmarked terrain in a multi‑discipline adventure race. Using a map and compass, you and your teammate will navigate an off‑road course of either 15 km or 30 km, collecting checkpoints along the way and finishing within a six‑hour cut‑off:contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}. This race blends trail running, mountain biking and kayaking, making it one of the most exciting and social ways to explore the Coast’s wild spaces.

Date: Saturday 9 May 2026

Location: Sunshine Coast (exact start location TBC)

Duration: Up to 6 hours (course cut‑off)

Team size: Pairs (2 people)

About the Course

Participants can choose between two course options:

  • Full Course: Approximately 5–7 km of trail running or trekking, 10–15 km of mountain biking and a 5 km kayak
  • Half Course: Approximately 3–5 km of running or trekking, 5–7 km of mountain biking and a 3–5 km kayak
  •

You’ll work together to find and check in at each checkpoint in the correct order. The first team to complete the entire course wins, but many participants treat it as an adventure rather than a race, enjoying the chance to explore varied landscapes and improve their navigation skills.
