These days, The Wharf at Mooloolaba is a trendy, upscale precinct with so much to offer. Whether you’re in the mood for dining, adventure activities or shopping, The Wharf is the creme-de-la-crème of locations!

DINING

If you’re in the mood to sit, relax, wine and dine, or even to grab a snack as you walk along the esplanade and check out the sailboats and surf beaches, there is a catering option for you here at The Wharf! Rice Boi is currently one of the hottest places to grab some tapas with friends and a cocktail or two – with an Asian menu and a funky, street arcade-style dining area, it’s no wonder that this is one of the most popular places on the Coast right now.

For a more casual dining atmosphere but without skimping on the quality, check out The Dock at Mooloolaba, or the new, trendy The Savvy Squire! Both locations sit right on the water’s edge overlooking the harbour and Mooloolah river and come to life every evening as a popular place for locals to meet after work or on the weekend.

Other options along The Wharf include Spero, a uniquely Greek cuisine experience, See Restaurant – one of the Sunshine Coast’s BEST fine-dining seafood restaurants – and Il Vento if you’re in the mood for Italian. If you’d rather a grab’n’go meal, check out El Bigoton for some Latin American street food or Fior Di Latte Gelateria for your favourite scoop of gelato!

ADVENTURE

If going on an action-packed adventure is more your pace, The Wharf also has plenty of tours and attractions for you to try. One of the most well-known places to visit here is the Sealife Sunshine Coast. Full of aquatic creatures of every kind like turtles, seals, stingrays and sharks, this is a theme park that really showcases all that our oceans have to offer. If you’ve never been here before, make sure that you plan a visit!

For a nature trip that goes beyond fish tanks and takes you out into the elements, check out Sunreef Mooloolaba. This is one of the largest dive centres in all of South East Queensland. Have you ever been whale watching before? You can book whale watching tours that depart daily in whale season right here in Mooloolaba. Or, if you’d rather a fully immersive experience, you could book a scuba diving trip and go for a local reef dive! With a 5-star PADI training centre, they have accredited dive courses for all levels of divers. You could go out for a reef dive, snorkelling trip or dive at one of Australia’s best military wrecks, the ex-HMAS Brisbane. Scuba World at The Wharf is another dive centre that specialises in teaching ‘learn to dive’ programs for beginners.

There’s also a number of fishing charters you can book here too, like Top Catch Fishing Charters, Sunshine Sea Charters, Flat Dog Charters and others. Would you like that perfect trophy fish photo for your friends at home? There’s plenty of charters that can get you out there on the water and with some luck, you’ll reel in a mighty catch worth remembering!
